For the customisation of intake and exhaust valves, Wilmink Performance uses the services of Ferrea Racing Components. Ferrea has decades of experience in the development and production of various valves and springs. In addition to these two items, Ferrea Racing also offers suitable valve rubbers, valve splines and valve guides.

When customising valves, almost all specifications can be adapted to the customer's wishes. This includes the dish diameter, thickness and length of the stem, the number of grooves, etc. The reproduction of existing valves is therefore also possible.

Besides producing stainless steel valves, valves can also be made from titanium. Choosing the right material obviously depends on the situation in which the valves are to be installed. The extreme temperature change around combustion in the engine (from sub-zero temperatures in the intake manifold to over 870 degrees Celsius in the combustion chamber) can cause thermal fatigue in the valves. The ability of the materials to withstand these considerable thermal variations is crucial to the service life of the valves. Ferrea Racing Components is constantly testing new materials and processes to deliver the best valves.
